Our church has a men’s group which meets 6:30 every Tuesday morning for a bible study.  Our pastor closed out the study one day with this prayer. “Thank you God for this day which was not promised which we will never see again”. Surrender sounds like such a wimpy term from a worldly perspective. I have my rights! I am in charge and can make my own decisions!  I can do as I please as long as it does not hurt anyone else! We have all seen pictures from World War II surrendered troops marching to a prisoner of war camp as armed guards keep them under control.
